Average earnings for July 2017 lower in nominal terms; in real terms about the same as earnings for June 2017
Average earnings for July 2017 amounted to EUR 1,593.10 gross and EUR 1,039.55 net. Compared to earnings for the previous month, they were lower in nominal terms; gross earnings by 0.6% and net earnings by 0.5%. In real terms they were about the same as earnings for the previous month.

Average gross earnings for July 2017 amounted to EUR 1,593.10; compared to gross earnings for the previous month they were lower in nominal terms by 0.6%. Average net earnings for July 2017 amounted to EUR 1,039.55; compared to net earnings for the previous month they were lower in nominal terms by 0.5%. In real terms average earnings for July 2017 were about the same as earnings for the previous month.
Compared to earnings for July 2016, average earnings for July 2017 were higher in nominal terms by 2.8% and in real terms by 1.8%.
Average earnings for July 2017 lower in the private sector; in the public sector about the same as earnings for the previous month
Compared to earnings for June 2017, average net earnings for July 2017 were lower in the private sector by 0.7%, while in the public sector they were about the same as earnings for June 2017.
The highest average earnings for July 2017 in financial and insurance activities
Compared to earnings for June 2017, average net earnings for July 2017 decreased the most in mining and quarrying (by 6.2%) and increased the most in public administration and defence, compulsory social security (by 2.7%).
The highest average net earnings for July 2017 were paid in financial and insurance activities; they amounted to EUR 1,451.71.
The highest average earnings for July 2017 received by persons employed in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region
Average net earnings for July 2017 were the highest in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region; they amounted to EUR 1,132.64, which was 9.0% more than the national average. The lowest average net earnings for July 2017 – 10.5% lower than the national average – were paid in the Primorsko-notranjska statistical region.
