Average gross earnings for August 2017 higher by 1.3% than earnings for July 2017
Average gross earnings for August 2017 amounted to EUR 1,613.62. Compared to earnings for July 2017 they were higher in nominal terms by 1.3% and in real terms by 1.2%.

Average gross earnings for August 2017 amounted to EUR 1,613.62; compared to gross earnings for July 2017 they were higher in nominal terms by 1.3% and in real terms by 1.2%. Average net earnings for August 2017 amounted to EUR 1,051.73; compared to net earnings for July 2017 they were higher in nominal terms by 1.2% and in real terms by 1.1%.
Average earnings in the private sector increased more than in the public sector
Compared to earnings for July 2017, average net earnings for August 2017 in the private sector were higher by 1.6% and in the public sector by 0.5%.
The highest average earnings for August 2017 in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply
The highest average earnings for August 2017 were paid in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply; they amounted to EUR 2,555.34 gross and EUR 1,609.98 net. Compared to earnings for the previous month, average earnings for August 2017 also increased the most in that activity (gross earnings by 11.1% and net earnings by 11.2%), the main reason being higher extra payments paid with earnings for August.
The highest average earnings for August 2017 received by persons employed in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region
Average net earnings for August 2017 were the highest in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region; they amounted to EUR 1,137.42, which was 8.1% more than the national average. Average net earnings exceeded the national average also in the Jugovzhodna Slovenija (by 3.1%).
