INDICATOR DESCRIPTION
The indicator shows the values of nitrate levels in groundwater samples. Average annual values at the sampling points in Slovenia are calculated. The calculations serve to show the nitrate content by type of aquifers (alluvial, karst-fractured), water bodies and chosen sampling points.

The indicator can also be used to complement the monitoring of goals 2 and 15.
