Correction – data on the Construction producer price indices for 2024 are published again
Due to an error in the program for calculating structural weights for 2024, the data published in the release on 19 February 2025 are published again. In addition to the structural weights, there are changes in all quarterly indices for 2024. We apologise for any inconvenience.
Last year the prices of construction services up by 4.5% …
In 2024, construction producer prices increased by 4.5%. The highest increase was observed in specialized construction activities (by 5.1%) and the lowest in civil engineering (by 3.3%). Prices in construction of buildings grew by 4.3% compared to the 4th quarter of 2023.
Among specialized construction activities, the prices of electrical, plumbing and other construction installation activities went up the most (by 5.8%), and the prices of building completion and finishing and in the group other specialized construction activities the least (by 4.5%).
In civil engineering, prices went up the most in construction of other civil engineering projects (by 7.9%) and the least in construction of roads and railways (by 1.9%).
… and in the 4th quarter of 2024 by 0.7%
The prices of construction services increased by 0.7% in the last quarter of 2024. The increase was the same in all groups: construction of buildings, civil engineering, and specialized construction activities (all by 0.7 %).
