Fewer building permits issued and more dwellings planned than a month earlier
In April, 13% more building permits were issued than in the previous month: for residential buildings as many as in the previous month and for non-residential buildings 24% more.
The floor area of planned buildings larger
The total floor area of all planned buildings in April was a little more than 125,500 m2, which is 5% more than in March. The total floor area of planned residential buildings increased by 19%, mainly because of planned construction of two- and more dwelling buildings, while the total floor area of planned non-residential buildings decreased by 9%, mainly due to planned smaller industrial buildings and warehouses.
More dwellings planned
By issuing building permits, in April construction of almost 400 dwellings was planned, which is 31% more than in the previous month. More than a half of planned dwellings (54%) will be built in three- and more dwelling buildings, which is twice as many as was planned in March. Other dwellings are planned in one- and two- dwelling buildings; in the former 2% and in the latter 46% fewer.
Most dwellings to be built in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region
In April, most dwellings were planned in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region: 177 or 44% of all. Osrednjeslovenska was followed by Savinjska, where 61 dwellings (15% of all) were planned, and Pomurska, where 35 dwellings (10% of all) were planned. In other statistical regions fewer dwellings were planned, the fewest in Koroška and Primorsko-notranjska, two in each.
