Producer prices up monthly
Producer prices increased at the monthly (by 0.5%) and decreased at the annual level (by 0.4%). In a month, prices increased the most in manufacture of coke and petroleum products.
Prices up at the monthly level …
Compared to October, producer prices increased by 0.5%. The prices of products for sale on the domestic market went up by 1.2% and on non-domestic markets down by 0.1%. Of the latter, the prices of products for sale on the markets of euro area countries decreased by 0.5% and of non-euro area countries increased by 1.0%.
Energy prices rose by 12.7%. On the other hand, the prices of intermediate goods decreased by 0.4%, of capital goods by 0.3% and of consumer goods by 0.1%.
Prices increased the most in manufacture of coke and petroleum products (by 19.3%), followed by electricity (by 13.1%), manufacture of leather and leather products (by 5.1%) and manufacture of computer and optical products (by 1.5%). They decreased the most in manufacture of fabricated metal products (by 1.8%), followed by manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and preparations (by 1.4%) and manufacture of other transport equipment (by 1.0%).
… and down year-on-year
In one year, producer prices went down by 0.4%. The prices of products for sale on the domestic market decreased by 0.9%, while those on non-domestic markets increased by 0.1%. Of the latter, the prices of products for sale on the markets of euro area countries were 0.4% lower and of non-euro area countries 1.5% higher.
The prices of intermediate goods went down by 1.2% and of capital goods by 0.7%, while the prices of energy went up by 1.0% and of consumer goods by 0.9%.
Prices decreased the most in manufacture of basic metals (by 3.2%), followed by manufacture of rubber and plastic products (by 2.4%), electricity (by 2.1%), manufacture of electrical equipment (by 1.6%) and manufacture of other transport equipment (by 1.6% as well). On the other hand, they increased the most in manufacture of coke and petroleum products (by 9.6%), followed by manufacture of leather and leather products (by 6.3%) and manufacture of beverages (by 5.2%).
