In airport traffic in August 2020 14% less goods handled than in August 2019
In the 2nd quarter of 2020, 11% less goods than in the same period of 2019 were carried by trains.
A fifth fewer pasengers in public scheduled transport
Buses in urban scheduled transport carried almost 1.8 million passengers in August 2020, which is 37% fewer than in August 2019.
Around 734,300 passengers were carried by buses in public scheduled transport (interurban and international), which is 21% fewer than in August 2019. Around 9.4 million passenger-kilometres were performed by buses, which is 45% fewer than in August 2019.
In airport traffic 14% less goods handled than in August 2019
In August 2020, 28,000 passengers travelled through Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport, 87% fewer than in August 2019. Airport goods traffic was also lower than in August 2019; 14% less goods were handled.
In August 2020 almost no passengers in port traffic
Only four passengers were recorded in Slovenian ports in August 2020. No passenger cruise ships arrived.
In the Port of Koper just over 1.3 million tonnes of goods were handled in August 2020, 29% less than in August 2019.
In Slovenia fewer road motor vehicles registered for the first time than in August 2019
In August 2020, about 9,600 road motor vehicles were registered for the first time in Slovenia, about 6% fewer than in August 2019. Almost 7,000 passenger cars were registered for the first time, 10% fewer than in August 2019. Of these, 4,300 were new, 13% fewer than in August 2019.
In the 2nd quarter of 2020, 11% less goods than in the same period of 2019 were carried by trains
In the 2nd quarter of 2020 almost 1.4 million passengers were carried by trains, i.e. 59% fewer than in the 2nd quarter of 2019. 64 million passenger-kilometres were performed, i.e. 65% fewer than in the 2nd quarter of 2019.
In the 2nd quarter of 2020, about 4.8 million tonnes of goods were carried by rail and 1.2 billion tonne-kilometres were performed, which is an 11% decrease in goods carried and a 10% decrease in tonne-kilometres performed compared to the 2nd quarter of 2019.
In the 2nd quarter of 2020, 16% less goods were carried by road than in the same period of 2019
From April to June 2020 road goods motor vehicles registered in Slovenia carried 20.5 million tonnes of goods and performed 5.1 billion tonne-kilometres, which is a 16% decrease in goods carried and a 17% decrease in tonne-kilometres performed compared to the 2nd quarter of 2019.
