In 2019, gross investment for environmental protection amounted to EUR 243 million or 2.2% more than in 2018. The highest share in the structure of gross investment for environmental protection in 2019 was for waste management, namely almost 34.1% (EUR 83 million).
In 2019, current expenditure for environmental protection amounted to EUR 686 million or 15.3% more than in 2018. The highest share in the structure of current expenditure for environmental protection for 2019 was for waste management, namely almost 61.2% (EUR 420 million).
More than half of investments in industry end-of-pipe technologies
In the structure of gross investment for environmental protection in industry (sections of activity B, C, D) the share of end-of-pipe investment for environmental protection was 66.9% and the share of investment in integrated technologies was 33.1%.
The highest gross investment and current expenditure in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region
The regional structure of gross investment for environmental protection shows that the highest share of gross investment (41.5%) and the highest share of current expenditure for environmental protection (29.1%) was contributed by the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region.
