Average natural gas and electricity prices in the 2nd quarter of 2021 higher than in the previous quarter
In the second quarter of 2021, average natural gas and electricity prices in Slovenia increased for both household and non-household consumers
Highest increase recorded in electricity prices for household consumers – by 7%
The average natural gas price for household consumers in Slovenia in the second quarter of 2021 increased by 3%; it was 0.055 EUR/kWh. The average natural gas price without value added tax for non-household consumers was 0.029 EUR/kWh, which is a 4% increase over the first quarter.
The average electricity price for household consumers in Slovenia in the second quarter of 2021 was 0.165 EUR/kWh, which is a 7% increase over the first quarter. In the same period the average electricity price without value added tax for non-household consumers in Slovenia increased by 2%; it was 0.089 EUR/kWh.
In the second half of 2020, natural gas prices for non-household consumers 13% higher than the EU average
The international comparison of natural gas prices for the second half of 2020 shows that in Slovenia the price with all taxes for household consumers (20–200 GJ or 5,556–55,556 kWh annual consumption) represented 79% of the EU-27 average and for non-household consumers without VAT (10,000–100,000 GJ or 2,777,778–27,777,778 kWh annual consumption) 113% of the EU-27 average.
In the same period the electricity price with all taxes for household consumers (2,500–5,000 kWh annual consumption) represented 79% of the EU-27 average and for non-household consumers without VAT (500–2,000 MWh annual consumption) 78% of the EU-27 average.
