Natural gas prices for households lower, for non-households higher
Average natural gas prices for household consumers in Slovenia went down by 3% in the fourth quarter of 2024, while natural gas prices for non-household consumers went up by 13%. Average electricity prices for households decreased by 12% while for non-households they increased by 7%.
Electricity and natural gas prices for household consumers lower
The average natural gas price for household consumers in Slovenia in the fourth quarter of 2024 was 0.091 EUR/kWh, which is a 3% decrease over the previous quarter. The average natural gas price without value added tax for non-household consumers in the fourth quarter of 2024 was 0.057 EUR/kWh, which is a 13% increase over the previous quarter.
The average electricity price for household consumers in the fourth quarter of 2024 in Slovenia was 0.189 EUR/kWh, which is a 12% decrease over the previous quarter. In the same period the average electricity price without value added tax for non-household consumers in Slovenia increased by 7% and was 0.180 EUR/kWh.
Average natural gas and electricity prices in the first half of 2024 lower than the EU-27 average
In the first half of 2024 natural gas price with all taxes for household consumers in Slovenia (20 - 200 GJ or 5,556 - 55,556 kWh of annual consumption) represented 88% of the EU-27 average. For non-household consumers the natural gas price without VAT (10,000–100,000 GJ or 2,777,778 - 27,777,778 kWh of annual consumption) represented 94% of the EU-27 average.
In the same period average electricity price with all taxes for household consumers (2,500 - 5,000 kWh of annual consumption) in Slovenia in the first half of 2024 represented 72% of the EU-27 average. The electricity price without VAT represented for non-household consumers (500 - 2,000 MWh of annual consumption) 92% of the EU-27 average.
