New in the SiStat Database: Detailed data on the labour force in 2024

Detailed data on the situation and changes on the Slovenian labour market in the previous year are now available in the SiStat Database.

Data presented in the release Labour force survey results, 2024 on 17 March 2025 are now available at a more detailed level in the SiStat Database.

What do the collected data reveal about the labour market in 2024?

Approximately 771,000 persons in Slovenia were employed full-time, and 45,000 part-time. Among employees working part-time, there were significantly more women (75.1%) than men (24.9%). 

The highest employment rate was recorded in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region (60.1%), and the lowest in the Pomurska statistical region (53.3%).

On average, persons in employment worked 33 hours per week, with men working slightly more than 34 hours and women 31 hours.
