Share of disposable income in primary income of households
Disposable income per capita represents the average income of the resident of a certain region, which can be either spent for final consumption or saved. However, this indicator does not show the share of income generated during the production process or received on the basis of social or other rights. The share of disposable income in primary income is an indicator that reflects people’s contribution to government budget or their entitlement to social transfers. Residents of regions with lower values of the quotient generate relatively more primary income (income from work and capital), while disposable income decreases relatively in the process of redistribution. On the other hand, regions with higher quotients have lower primary income, but in the process of redistribution their disposable income relatively increases.
According to the share of disposable income in primary income, Osrednjeslovenska (85.6%), Gorenjska (88.8%) and Jugovzhodna Slovenija (88.4%) regions are below the national average (90.1%).
