Methodological Council
The Methodological Council is one of the advisory bodies at the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia. It was established to guarantee high quality of statistical products. Members of the Methodological Council are appointed by the Director-General of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia. Members are experts in statistical methodology. The current Council members are:

- Dr Mojca Bavdaž, Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana
- Dr Katja Lozar Manfreda, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana
- Dr Rok Blagus, Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana
- Dr Gregor Sočan, Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana
- Ema Mišić, Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia
- Dr Jernej Berzelak, Social Protection Institute of the Republic of Slovenia
- Metka Zaletel, National Institute of Public Health
Members of the Methodological Council meet 3-4 times per year. At these meetings they discuss the proposed methodologies of statistical surveys, proposals for termination of statistical surveys and the proposed methodologies for conducing individual phases of the general statistical process. The Council operates in line with the Instructions on the Procedure for Verification and Approval of Statistical Surveys’ Methodology and the Procedure of Terminating Statistical Surveys.
