Economic sentiment down
In June, the economic sentiment deteriorated at the monthly level as well as at the annual level, mainly due to confidence indicator in manufacturing.
Economic sentiment down at the monthly level
The value of the sentiment indicator (at 0.8 of a percentage point – p.p.) decreased by 2 p.p. compared to the previous month (at 2.8 p.p.).
The monthly decline was influenced by lower values of all confidence indicators – in manufacturing (by 0.6 p.p.), among consumers (by 0.5 p.p.), in services (by 0.4 p.p.), in construction (by 0.3 p.p.) and in retail trade (by 0.2 p.p.).
And at the annual level
Compared to June 2021, the sentiment indicator decreased by 7.1 p.p.
The annual decline was influenced by confidence indicators in manufacturing (by 4.3 p.p.), among consumers (by 3.3 p.p.), in retail trade and in construction (by 0.1 p.p. each), while the contribution of the confidence indicator in services was positive by 0.7 p.p.
