The sentiment indicator slightly up
In March, too, the confidence indicators changed only slightly and thus had a small impact on the economic sentiment.
Slightly better at the monthly level …
The value of the economic climate indicator was −1.6 percentage points (p.p.), 0.7 p.p. higher than in February (−2.3 p.p.).
Positive influences were provided by the consumer confidence indicator (by 0.7 p.p.), and confidence indicators in retail trade (by 0.2 p.p.) and construction (by 0.1 p.p.). Negative influences were provided by confidence indicators in manufacturing (by 0.2 p.p.) and services (by 0.1 p.p.).

Compared to March of last year, the value of the sentiment indicator was higher by 1.8 p.p.
The improvement in the indicator was contributed by confidence indicators in retail trade (by 1.0 p.p.), in manufacturing (by 0.7 p.p.) and among consumers (by 0.2 p.p.). Only the confidence indicator in services had a negative impact (by 0.1 p.p.). The construction confidence indicator had no impact.
