Sentiment indicator lower again

The sentiment indicator deteriorated in March at both levels: monthly by 0.3 of a percentage point and annual by 2.7 percentage points.

Slight deterioration at the monthly level

The value of the sentiment indicator was at −1.4 percentage points (p.p.) and 0.3 p.p. lower than in the previous month (−1.1 p.p.).

Confidence indicators in retail trade (lower by 0.5 p.p.), and in manufacturing and construction (each lower by 0.2 p.p.) had a negative impact. The change was positively influenced by indicators in services and among consumers (by 0.4 and 0.2 p.p., respectively).

Decline also at the annual level

Compared to the previous year, the value of the sentiment indicator was lower by 2.7 p.p.

The same confidence indicators as at the monthly level deteriorated: in manufacturing (by 3.7 p.p.), and in retail trade and construction (each by 0.6 p.p.). The change was positively influenced by indicators in services and among consumers (by 2.1 and 0.1 p.p., respectively).
