Average natural gas prices for households higher, electricity prices lower
Average natural gas prices for household consumers in Slovenia went up by 3% in the fourth quarter of 2022, while natural gas prices for non-household consumers went down by 6%. Average electricity prices decreased for both groups of consumers.
Electricity prices for household consumers lower by almost one-fifth
The average natural gas price for household consumers in Slovenia in the fourth quarter of 2022 was 0.095 EUR/kWh, which is a 3% increase over the previous quarter. The average natural gas price without value added tax for non-household consumers in the fourth quarter of 2022 was 0.071 EUR/kWh, which is a 6% decrease over the previous quarter.
The average electricity price for household consumers in the fourth quarter of 2022 in Slovenia was 0.172 EUR/kWh, which is a 18% decrease over the previous quarter. In the same period the average electricity price without value added tax for non-household consumers in Slovenia decreased by 6% and was 0.192 EUR/kWh.
Average natural gas prices for household consumers in the first half of 2022 in Slovenia one-fifth lower than the EU-27 average
In the first half of 2022 natural gas price with all taxes for household consumers in Slovenia (20 - 200 GJ or 5,556 - 55,556 kWh of annual consumption) represented 80% of the EU-27 average. For non-household consumers the natural gas price without VAT (10,000–100,000 GJ or 2,777,778 - 27,777,778 kWh of annual consumption) represented 104% of the EU-27 average.
In the same period average electricity price with all taxes for household consumers in Slovenia (2,500 - 5,000 kWh of annual consumption) represented 55% of the EU-27 average. The electricity price without VAT represented for non-household consumers (500 - 2,000 MWh of annual consumption) 86% of the EU-27 average.
