Sentiment indicator slightly down
The sentiment indicator was 0.3 of a percentage point lower at the monthly level and 0.8 of a percentage point higher at the annual level.

The sentiment indicator reached −2.3 percentage points (p.p.) and was 0.3 p.p. lower than in April (−2.0 p.p.).
The monthly decrease was influenced by the confidence indicator in retail trade (by 0.4 p.p.) and in services (by 0.1 p.p.). The influence of the construction and manufacturing confidence indicators was positive (by 0.1 p.p., each), while the consumer confidence indicator had no influence.
… and improvement at the annual level
Compared to the previous May, the sentiment indicator increased by 0.8 p.p.
It was higher due to the increase in confidence indicators among consumers (by 0.8 p.p.), in manufacturing (by 0.7 p.p.) and in retail trade (by 0.1 p.p.). On the other hand, lower values of confidence indicators in construction and in services (by 0.3 and 0.5 p.p., respectively) had a negative impact.
