At the monthly level, economic sentiment was positively affected by all confidence indicators.

The value of the sentiment indicator was at −1.7 percentage points (p.p.), 1.2 p.p. higher than in the previous month (at −2.9 p.p.).
The increase was influenced by the higher values of all five confidence indicators: in retail trade (by 0.6 p.p.), in manufacturing and construction (by 0.2 p.p. each) and in services and among consumers (by 0.1 p.p. each).
… and at the annual level
Compared to the previous August, the value of the sentiment indicator was higher by 4.6 p.p.
It was higher due to the increase in confidence indicators among consumers (by 2.0 p.p.), in manufacturing (by 1.7 p.p.) and in services (by 1.2 p.p.). On the other hand, lower values of confidence indicators in retail trade and in construction (by 0.2 and 0.1 p.p., respectively) had a negative impact.

Data are seasonally adjusted. 14 August 2023 is also taken into account as a day off.
