Economic sentiment slightly lower than in the previous month
At the monthly level, only services had a positive impact on the sentiment indicator.
Deterioration at the monthly level …
The value of the sentiment indicator was at −2.2 percentage points (p.p.), 0.5 p.p. lower than in the previous month (at −1.7 p.p.).
The sentiment indicator was negatively influenced by the confidence indicators among consumers (by 0.8 p.p.), in retail trade (by 0.2 p.p.), in manufacturing and in construction (both by 0.1 p.p.). Only the services confidence indicator had a positive impact (by 0.7 p.p.).
… but improvement at the annual level
Compared to the previous September, the value of the sentiment indicator was higher by 2.6 p.p.
The improvement of the indicator was influenced by three out of five indicators: in services (by 1.2 p.p.), in manufacturing (by 1.1 p.p.) and among consumers (by 1.0 p.p.). On the other hand, lower values of confidence indicators in construction and retail trade (by 0.4 and 0.3 p.p., respectively) had a negative impact.
