Almost a third fewer building permits issued than a month earlier
At the monthly level, 30% fewer building permits were issued in February: for residential buildings 36% and for non-residential buildings 23% fewer.
Floor area of planned buildings smaller
The total floor area of all planned buildings was slightly more than 123,500 m2, which is 14% less than in the previous month. The floor area for residential buildings was smaller by 19% and for non-residential buildings by 9%.
More dwellings planned in two- and more dwelling buildings
By issuing final building permits, in February, construction of 327 dwellings was planned, which is 2% fewer than in January. In one-dwelling buildings 136 dwellings were planned, which is 36% fewer than in the previous month. In two- and more dwelling buildings 191 dwellings were planned, which is 61% more. The average size of dwellings in one-dwelling buildings will be 164 m2 and in two- and more dwelling buildings 70 m2.
Half of dwellings to be built in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region
Most dwellings were planned in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region, 164 or half of all, followed by Podravska with 43 dwellings (13% of all), and Gorenjska with 41 dwellings (13% of all). In other statistical regions fewer dwellings were planned, the fewest in Zasavska with three planned dwellings.
