Service and trade production lower than in the previous month
In June, production at the monthly level increased in trade and decreased in services. It went down the most in transportation and storage.
At the monthly level growth in trade and decline in services
Service and trade production went down by 1.6% over the previous month. In trade, production grew by 1.1%, while in service activities, it decreased by 3.6%.
Production decreased in all groups of service activities. The largest decline was in transportation and storage (by 3.5%), followed by administrative and support service activities (by 3.0%), professional, scientific and technical activities (by 2.7%), accommodation and food service activities (by 1.8%), information and communication (by 1.4%) and real estate activities (by 0.2%).
Real estate activities up the most at the annual level
Compared to last June, service and trade production grew by 0.9%. In trade it went up by 3.1% and in service activities down by 0.1%.
In service activities growth was highest in real estate activities (by 12.3%), followed by information and communication (by 4.5%), and administrative and support service activities (by 2.3%). A decline was recorded in professional, scientific and technical activities (by 3.7%), transportation and storage (by 1.8%) and accommodation and food service activities (by 0.1%).
In the first six months of this year, service and trade production grew by 1.9% over the same period of the previous year. In service activities it went up by 1.9% and in trade by 1.7%. It increased in five out of six groups of service activities, the most in information and communication (by 8.6%).

METHODOLOGICAL NOTE
With the release for January 2024, we transitioned to the new base year 2021 and a new observation unit – kind of activity unit (KAU). The data were revised until January 2021 inclusive and are published at the level of the new observation unit. The data before that period differ from them and are published at the enterprise level.
Data are seasonally adjusted. To eliminate these effects, models are used that are independent for each time series.
Data for the last 10 months are provisional. With each release, the data for this period can be corrected and supplemented with new data.
