In the last quarter of 2024, construction costs for new residential buildings in Slovenia were higher than in the previous quarter and also higher than in the fourth quarter a year ago.

In the fourth quarter of 2024, they were 7.0% higher than in the previous quarter and 3.9% higher than in the last quarter of 2023. In 2024 as a whole, they increased by 3.6% over the year before.

Labour costs for constructing new residential buildings were 16.2% higher than in the previous quarter. Compared to the fourth quarter of 2023 they increased by 8.9%, while compared to 2023 last year they were 10.0% higher.
Construction material costs lower
Construction material costs decreased for the fourth consecutive quarter. They were 0.4% lower than in the previous quarter. Compared to the last quarter of 2023 they decreased by 1.3% and compared to 2023 by 2.3%.
