Data published in the release Living conditions, 2024 on 20 February 2025 are now available at an extended and a more detailed level in the SiStat Database.
The share of households that reported having adequately cool dwelling during the summer and adequately warm dwelling during the winter of 2024 differs based on accommodation tenure status. Owners (but not users) had an adequately cool dwelling during the summer in 90% of cases, while 79% of households living in rental apartments had an adequately cool dwelling during the summer. Among owners, 97% had an adequately warm dwelling during the winter, while 90% of tenants or subtenants experienced the same.
The source of data on living conditions is the EU comparable Statistics on Income and Living Conditions (EU-SILC), which was implemented with the survey in 2024 (survey year) and the use of administrative and register data mostly referring to 2023. In this release, we publish final data for 2024.
