Surplus in transactions with the rest of the world
In the fourth quarter of 2024, a surplus in transactions with the rest of the world in the amount of EUR 750 million.
In the fourth quarter of 2024, Slovenian economy generated a surplus in transactions with the rest of the world in the amount of EUR 750 million or 4.3% of GDP.
Surplus of the general government sector amounted to EUR 21 million (0.1% of GDP).
Within quarterly non-financial institutional sector accounts, we are publishing statistics only for the general government and the rest of the world sectors, and the majority of aggregates for the total economy. Statistics on some transactions for other sectors are expected to be published in the second half of 2025.
Due to the reconciliation with the general government accounts statistics, the statistics on gross operating surplus and subsidies on production for the quarters of 2023 in this release do not match those in the release for gross domestic product. The difference is between EUR 14 and 21 million per quarter. There is also a small difference (EUR 0.5 million) in the statistics on gross operating surplus and taxes on production for the first quarter of 2024. The discrepancies will be eliminated in September 2025.
