In September 2020, 36% more net electricity generated than in September 2019
Compared to the same month last year, electricity production in September 2020 increased by 36%, the supply of energy commodities decreased.
Total net electricity generation in September 2020 36% higher than a year ago
In September 2020, total net electricity generation was 1,395 GWh. Compared to August 2020 it increased by 3% and compared to September 2019 it increased by 36%.
Compared to September 2019, generation in hydro power plants was 117% higher, in thermal power plants 35% higher and in the nuclear power plant 1% higher.
Consumption in September 2020 was 1,102 GWh. Compared to the previous month it increased by 5%. In September 2019, consumption was 1,054 GWh, 5% lower than in September 2020.
In line with the higher production in thermal power plants, fuel consumption also increased. Total fuel consumption in September 2020 was 30% higher than in September 2019.
In September 2020, 521 GWh of electricity was imported and 786 GWh was exported. In September 2019, import was 26% higher and export 21% lower than in September 2020.
Energy supply in September 2020 higher than in August 2020 and lower than in September 2019
In September 2020 supply of energy commodities in general went up with exception of Motor Gasoline supply fell with 7% and Lignite and Brown Coal supply fell with 2%. Compared with previous month we further noticed supply rise as 142% with Heating and Other Gasoil, 32% with Other Petroleum Products, 26% with Coke Oven Coke, 15% with Natural Gas, 13% with Hard Coal, 9% with LPG and 6% with Transport Diesel Oil.
Compared to September 2019 supply of energy commodities decreased as 77% with Kerosene Jet Fuel, 60% with Heating and Other Gasoil, 23% with LPG, 21% with Coke Oven Coke, 4% with Other Petroleum Products and 3% with Motor Gasoline.
