In the 4th quarter of 2020 lower average natural gas and electricity prices for household consumers

Average natural gas prices for household consumers in Slovenia decreased by 4% in the fourth quarter of 2020, while electricity prices for household consumers decreased by 8%.

Natural gas prices for non-household consumers higher in the fourth quarter of 2020

The average natural gas price for household consumers in Slovenia in the fourth quarter of 2020 was 0.05 EUR/kWh, which is a 4% decrease over the previous quarter. The average natural gas price without value added tax for non-household consumers in the fourth quarter of 2020 was 0.03 EUR/kWh, which is a 9% increase over the previous quarter.

The average electricity price for household consumers in Slovenia in the fourth quarter of 2020 was 0.16 EUR/kWh, which is a 8% decrease over the previous quarter. The average electricity price without value added tax for non-household consumers in Slovenia in the fourth quarter of 2020 stayed the same at 0.09 EUR/kWh.

Average electircity prices for household consumers in Slovenia 32% lower than the EU-27 average in the first half of 2020

In the first half of 2020 natural gas price with all taxes for household consumers in Slovenia (20 - 200 GJ or 5,556 - 55,556 kWh of annual consumption) represented 89% of the EU-27 average. For non-household consumers the natural gas price without VAT (10,000–100,000 GJ or 2,777,778 - 27,777,778 kWh of annual consumption) represented 94% of the EU-27 average.

In the same period average electricity price with all taxes for household consumers in Slovenia (2,500 - 5,000 kWh of annual consumption) represented 68% of the EU-27 average. The electricity price without VAT represented for non-household consumers (500 - 2,000 MWh of annual consumption) 78% of the EU-27 average.
