After a price decrease in 2023, the prices of agricultural inputs slightly increased several times in 2024. At the end of 2024, they were 1.7% higher than in December 2023. In comparison to the 2023 average (comparison of average prices in 2023 and 2024), the price growth was negative at −3.9%.
Prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture up
The prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture increased in 2024 by 1.8%, while compared to the 2023 average they were 6.7% cheaper.
Prices of fertilisers and of animal feedingstuffs still in decline
Fertiliser prices slightly decreased in 2024 (by 1.2%), while compared to the 2023 average they were lower by 23.7%.
The prices of animal feedingstuffs decreased in 2024 by 2.4%, while compared to the 2023 average they were lower by 15.3%. During the year, the prices of straight feedingstuffs decreased several times, while the prices of compound feedingstuffs decreased only once.
After a few more increases in the prices of straight feedingstuffs, these prices were at the end of 2024 slightly higher (by 0.2%). The prices of compound feedingstuffs were at the end of 2024 lower by 2.7%.
Goods and services contributing to agricultural investment slightly more expensive
The prices of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment increased by 1.6%, while compared to the 2023 average, they went up by 2.5%.
In 2024, the prices of materials increased by 1.5% and of buildings by 2.0%. The prices of machinery and other equipment increased by 0.6% and the prices of transport equipment (of tractors) by 2.7%.
