Final data on average monthly earnings for December 2021 and for 2021 presented at a more detailed level

Data on average monthly earnings for December 2021 and for 2021, published as provisional in the First Release of 15 February 2022, are published as final in the SiStat Database and at a more detailed level. There we also publish data on average monthly gross earnings calculated by the number of persons in paid employment on the basis of paid hours, by legal persons by activities and sectors.

Average monthly gross earnings for 2021 the highest in financial and insurance activities

Average gross earnings for 2021 were the highest in financial and insurance activities (EUR 2,790.04), and the lowest in accommodation and food service activities (EUR 1,330.27). Compared to earnings for 2020, gross earnings increased in all of activities; the most in accommodation and food service activities (by 12.7%) and the least in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (by 1.5%).

Average monthly earnings for 2021 higher than the national average only in two statistical regions

Average gross earnings for 2021 were higher than the national average only in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region (by 10.3%) and in the statistical region Jugovzhodna Slovenija (by 0.6%).

Average monthly earnings in enterprises employing persons with disabilities higher than in the previous year

Average gross earnings in enterprises employing persons with disabilities for 2021 amounted to EUR 1,486.43. Compared to earnings for 2020 they were higher – in nominal terms by 6.5% and in real terms by 4.5%. Net earnings amounted to EUR 995.62; compared to earnings for 2020 they were higher in nominal terms by 5.4% and in real terms by 3.4%. Compared to average earnings of persons employed by all legal persons in Slovenia for 2021 (that amounted to EUR 1,969.59 gross and EUR 1,270.30 net), they were significantly lower (by 24.5% gross and by 21.6% net).
