Producer prices unchanged

At the monthly level, producer prices remained on average the same. At the annual level, they decreased by 0.9%.

In a month the prices decreased the most in manufacture of basic metals …

In September, producer prices remained on average the same as in the previous month. The prices of products for sale on the domestic market increased by 0.2%, while on non-domestic markets they decreased by 0.1%. Of the latter, the prices of products for sale on the markets of euro area countries were down by 0.3% and of non-euro area countries up by 0.3%.

The prices increased in main industrial groupings of energy (by 1.8%) and intermediate goods (by 0.1%), and decreased in capital goods (by 0.6%). The consumer goods prices remained unchanged.

Prices grew the most in manufacture of leather and leather products (by 4.5%), followed by manufacture of coke and petroleum products (by 3.5%), manufacture of wearing apparel (by 2.0%) and electricity (by 1.6%). On the other hand, they decreased the most in manufacture of basic metals (by 1.4%), followed by manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and preparations (by 0.6%), manufacture of other machinery and equipment (by 0.5%) and manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products (by 0.4%). 

… and annually in electricity

In one year, producer prices decreased by 0.9%. The prices of products for sale on the domestic market went down by 2.1% and on non-domestic markets up by 0.2%. Of those, the prices of products sold on the markets of euro area countries decreased by 0.4% and of non-euro area countries increased by 2.0%.

The prices of energy went down by 8.4%, of intermediate goods by 1.4% and of capital goods by 0.1%. On the other hand, the consumer goods prices went up by 1.2%.

Prices decreased the most in electricity (by 14.6%), followed by manufacture of basic metals (by 4.5%), manufacture of chemicals and chemical products (by 2.2%) and manufacture of electrical equipment (by 2.0%). Increase in prices was the highest in manufacture of coke and petroleum products (by 7.1%), followed by manufacture of wearing apparel (by 6.0%), manufacture of beverages (by 5.6%) and water collection, treatment and supply (by 3.3%).
