Average earnings for March 2019 higher than earnings for February 2019
Average gross earnings for March 2019 amounted to EUR 1,752.34. Compared to gross earnings for the previous month they were higher in nominal terms by 2.2% and in real terms by 1.5%. Average net earnings for March 2019 amounted to EUR 1,128.15 and were higher than net earnings for the previous month, in nominal terms by 1.8% and in real terms by 1.1%.

Average monthly gross earnings for the January–March 2019 period, compared to earnings for the same period of 2018, increased in nominal terms by 4.6% and in real terms by 3.3%.

Compared to earnings for February 2019, average net earnings for March 2019 increased in the public sector by 2.8% (in the institutional sector general government they were 0.3% higher) and in the private sector by 1.3%.

Average earnings for March 2019 (compared to earnings for the previous month) increased the most in financial and insurance activities
Compared to earnings for February 2019, average net earnings for March 2019 increased in most activities, the most in financial and insurance activities (by 32.0%), mainly due to higher extra payments. They decreased the most in manufacturing (by 1.9%).

The highest average net earnings for March 2019 were paid in financial and insurance activities (EUR 1,901.54).

The review of data by statistical regions shows that average monthly net earnings for the January–March 2019 period were higher than net earnings for the same period of 2018 in all statistical regions; they increased the most in statistical region Jugovzhodna Slovenija, by 5.3%.
