In March 2017 the monthly basic interest rate 0.2%, the annual basic interest rate 2.38%
The monthly basic interest rate in March 2017 grew to 0.2%, the annual basic interest rate also grew to 2.38%.
Data on monthly and annual basic interest rate are published on the basis of Article 3 of the Legal Penalty Rate Act (OJ RS, No. 11/2007) and on the basis of the Decision of the Bank of Slovenia on the Basic Interest Rate (OJ RS, No. 61/96, 3/97, 23/97 and 81/97).
The monthly basic interest rate for a certain month is calculated to one decimal place as the arithmetic mean of the last twelve monthly rates of growth of consumer prices calculated and published by the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia. February's monthly basic interest rate equals to January's.
The annual basic interest rate for a certain month is calculated from the monthly basic interest rate to two decimal places in a similar way taking into account the actual number of days.
