Fewer building permits issued than a month earlier
At the monthly level, 3% fewer building permits were issued in February: for residential buildings 15% more and for non-residential buildings 18% fewer.
Floor area of planned buildings smaller
The total floor area of all planned buildings was slightly less than 133,000 m2, which is 4% less than in the previous month. The floor area for planned residential buildings increased by 16%, while for non-residential buildings it decreased by a quarter.
More dwellings planned
Based on building permits issued in February, construction of 402 dwellings was planned, which is 3% more than in January. In one-dwelling buildings 202 dwellings were planned, which is 15% more than in the previous month. In two- and more dwelling buildings 200 dwellings were planned, which is 7% fewer. The average size of dwellings in one-dwelling buildings will be 166 m2 and in two- and more dwelling buildings 73 m2.
A third of dwellings to be built in Jugovzhodna Slovenija
The largest number of dwellings was planned in Jugovzhodna Slovenija, 132 or a third of all. In this statistical region 82 dwellings were planned in two- and more dwelling buildings, and the rest in one-dwelling buildings. Jugovzhodna Slovenija was followed by Osrednjeslovenska with 64 dwellings (16% of all), and Savinjska with 60 dwellings (15% of all). In other statistical regions fewer dwellings were planned, the fewest (3) in Posavska.
